China promotes green vehicles with subsidies

Monday 21 December 2009

The main reason for subsidising sales of green vehicles is to step up efforts towards promotion and usage of environmentally friendly transportation modes within the country. The main government website of China has come out with the option of providing rebates to buyers who purchase these green vehicles for the first time, states Reuters UK.

The trial scheme for these vehicles was first inaugurated in February 2009. Public transport operators and taxi firms will benefit in a big way by making use of these green vehicles. The subsidy will vary on the type of green vehicle to be used by the consumer. There will be a significant difference in the subsidy offered for normal four wheeler vehicles to that off large commercial buses powered in the best possible way using fuel cells.

To support this environmental friendly move many different Chinese automakers have come up with the plan to develop their own versions of these green vehicles to be sold in China. However, there are certain difficulties that this industry might face due to infancy in manufacturing of green vehicles. Only possibility for the growth of ‘green’ vehicle industry is through effective government support and industry interactions.

However, no further details regarding the exact nature of operational possibilities and purchasing options for these green vehicles has been provided. Beijing is also looking forward to expand this scheme in the future to accommodate the possibility of more people from the country buying these vehicles. These clean energy vehicles will be made part of the transportation fleets in major cities across China. Once these vehicles become part of various organisations in the country, it would need the assistance of an effective tracking device for fleet control. C-Track offers the best tracking device for these ‘green’ fleets.

Therefore, organisations should look at managing their ‘green’ fleets using C-Track tracking devices. The best thing about this is the lethal combination of advanced vehicle tracking system with the user-friendly nature of this device. It takes care of everything starting from unwanted vehicle breakdown to operational requirements for the organisation. C-Track offers straightforward and efficient way to manage ‘green’ fleet for the organisation.
